Biography
I was born and raised in Amarillo. After graduating from Amarillo High, I attended AC, UT Arlington, and graduated from Texas Tech. After several years of working in secretarial jobs, I went back to college
and earned my teaching certificate in secondary English. I taught mostly 8th English at Bushland Middle School for 29 years, retiring in 2019. I had planned to volunteer after retirement, but Covid delayed that.
I became a VDR in 2020 and joined the League a few months later, and I now volunteer for every voter registration event I can. Voter registration and encouraging voters to get out and vote are my main interests.
I have one daughter, Marley, who works at Pantex. Other than reading, my hobbies include knitting, spinning, sewing, and refinishing furniture.
