Candidate Forums and Debates

In, carrying out our mission of encouraging informed and active participation in government, the League of Women Voters moderates many candidate debates and forums.  We are committed to providing fair, nonpartisan candidate forums that are open to the general public.

During election season the League of Women Voters of El Paso hosts Candidate Forums featuring candidates on local ballot races in the El Paso area (County Commissioners,, City Council, etc.).

We welcome the opportunity to work with community organizations as cosponsors. To maintain the integrity of our candidate forums, the League of Women Voters of El Paso adheres to the Leagues candidate forum policy, which includes a specific format and maintaining strict nonpartisanship. If you are interested in working together to present a forum, please contact us at lwvep@lwvep,org about a co-hosting a forum.

There are currently no candidate forums scheduled for the Primary Elections on March 1.
